Bunkers Feed & Supply was founded in March 1961 by Dale Bunkers in Granville, Iowa. What began as a small agricultural supply business selling livestock feed, feeding equipment, and fertilizer has since grown into a full-service grain elevator and diversified ag supplier.

Over the years, BF&S expanded its facilities to meet the needs of local farmers. A feed manufacturing plant was added in the early 1960s to produce complete livestock rations for farm delivery. Grain storage and drying capacity grew steadily through the late 1960s and 70s, with flat storage for 425,000 bushels added in 1999 and another 650,000-bushel facility built in 2007. A liquid fertilizer mixing plant, first constructed in 1964, was later upgraded with computerized blending technology to ensure the highest quality custom applications.
